Let’s head into the studio now with our hostess with the Mostess, Carol J. Dunlop.
00:00:34:06 – 00:00:59:18
Unknown
Hey, everyone. How you doing? It’s Carol J. Dunlop, your online wild strategist and ten time bestselling author. How’s it going today? I hope you’re feeling well. I hope you’re feeling good. Enjoying the sunshine wherever you are. Because I am certainly enjoying the sunshine here and I’m having a great day. I hope you are as well. So we’re going to talk today with a special guest of mine with the trend Matt here.
00:00:59:23 – 00:01:17:51
Unknown
And I hope the trend that I am saying your name right because I said it when we were doing the interview, but you don’t know how my mind gets it is la la la la la la. And what are we going to be talking about today? We’re going to talk about visual branding. Because visual branding is what catches people’s eyes and the process a while.
00:01:17:51 – 00:01:22:35
Unknown
It’s like, think about it when you see something interesting that you want to check out.
00:01:22:35 – 00:01:40:42
Unknown
it’s the visual branding that catches you and then urges you to make a purchase decision. That’s what my guess the trend. Matt here and I are talking about today. So I am so excited about that and how the trend I met was kind of different.
00:01:40:47 – 00:02:00:28
Unknown
And I like to tell you the stories because you never know how you’re going to meet a client, a JV partner or some a collaborator or somebody who you can help you with something. So I was working on one of my client sites, a Dow, and the site is Restart Your Life, and she has launched and she’s been spotlighted before on the podcast.
00:02:00:28 – 00:02:28:57
Unknown
So proud of the site. It’s been beautiful. And I had a message from Donna that she had gotten someone to look at her site and to make sure, you know, it was up to par and things were clear and all of that. And it happened to be with trend, who I didn’t know at the time. And the trend has sent a brand guide to her and said and listed all the changes or additions or whatever that she thought needed to be made.
00:02:29:02 – 00:02:30:13
Unknown
And of course, I was like,
00:02:30:13 – 00:02:43:54
Unknown
why are you having a brand person looking at this? You know? But, you know, that was to myself, right? You know how we talk to ourselves and go, what’s the what’s the deal here? But I looked at that brand guide and I was, I don’t know anybody. And I was like, oh my God.
00:02:43:58 – 00:03:00:30
Unknown
Yes. These are changes that are great to implement. This is wonderful. I love the, presentation that she did about the initial home page and the things she said to do with it and all that. I mean, it wasn’t that many things. It was just a couple of things that’s good on me, right?
00:03:00:30 – 00:03:09:33
Unknown
But I was impressed. I was impressed with and I was impressed with the visual guide that she gave her to help her see what the things need to be.
00:03:09:33 – 00:03:13:05
Unknown
I was like, wow, this is amazing. So I was like, I got to reach out to this woman.
00:03:13:05 – 00:03:25:47
Unknown
I tried to find her on Facebook and I couldn’t for some reason, and I looked at the the picture on the front of the brand guide and I was like, okay, that’s the person that I was expecting. And it turns out that wasn’t even her.
00:03:25:47 – 00:03:48:05
Unknown
She was just using a, you know, a prop, a, a person, a model, whatever to showcase it. And I’m like, why aren’t you on the cover of your own thing? You should be. We need to know what you look like. So through a process of getting in touch with Donna, telling Lorraine to get in touch with me and then actually hunting the trend down to find her and get to talk to her.
00:03:48:10 – 00:04:04:33
Unknown
We actually had a meeting and we talked, and she was just so effervescent and awesome and smiley, and I was like, girl, first thing you need to do is put yourself on all your brand. You are a face. We got to see you. We want to see you. We need to see more of you. So you need to do that.
00:04:04:33 – 00:04:19:39
Unknown
And she promised me she would and she did. And now she’s on the podcast and this is her first podcast ever. Wow. I feel so honored. Right. And y’all got to love her too. So just wait till we get there. It’s going to be, amazing.
00:04:19:39 – 00:04:26:25
Unknown
So I wonder if y’all know that my, marketing academy has more value coming on the horizon.
00:04:26:25 – 00:05:01:54
Unknown
Why? Because there’s no fear based or unnecessary FOMO based marketing, and in an upcoming article I’m doing now is Purpose Driven Entrepreneurs, where entrepreneurs we’re consistently told that creating urgency is essential for conversions, and true urgency can be a powerful motivator. But there’s a crucial distinction between fear based urgency, which manipulates, and value based urgency which serves. So for me, you know, I’ve been telling y’all, get 10% off, get a free month, get this, get that.
00:05:01:59 – 00:05:26:10
Unknown
And that’s kind of what I’ve been selling on because that’s what I grew up on, grew up on said this. So you can say it grew up on meaning that when I learned how to do conversion marketing, conversion copy, online marketing, digital marketing, all that stuff, that’s all they talk about FOMO, fear of missing out. Make people just feel in their heart.
00:05:26:12 – 00:05:56:15
Unknown
They’re missing out on this thing. If they don’t do it, they’re going to die. If they don’t get this. And I’ve changed. I’ve changed because of because I’ve changed, internally and spiritually and all of that. And I don’t want to do that anymore. I want to be value based urgency. For instance, I want you to join the, Marketing Academy because when you join, when I have a, quarterly masterclass and you pay for the masterclass, guess what?
00:05:56:15 – 00:06:26:53
Unknown
You get two months of membership inside the, marketing Academy. Now, that’s not, say, hey, you’re going to miss out on this. Yeah. If you don’t sign up, you’re going to miss out on this training. But the good thing is, whenever you join the training, it’s going to be there because the trainings don’t go away right. So value value value I’m offering value value value with everything I do, not only for the I’m Marketing Academy, but for creative services International and any other projects like clothes media.
00:06:27:02 – 00:06:56:10
Unknown
Anything that I’m involved in is all about value based urgency. If you want to get this value, get it now. The price may not be the same later, but I want you to feel it. When we’re talking about value based urgency, I want you to feel like, yes, I need this in my life now. Not because I’m being pressured to do it, not because somebody is telling me if I don’t do it, my world is going to fall apart and and the sky is going to fall.
00:06:56:15 – 00:07:09:48
Unknown
But because I need this in my life now, because I want to make money now, I want to start new relationships now with my clients. So that’s what I’m going to be doing. And that’s what you’re going to hear me do. And now that doesn’t mean I’m not going to have specials or things that,
00:07:09:48 – 00:07:15:13
Unknown
you know, a percentage is off or any of that, but it does mean that I’m approaching it different.
00:07:15:13 – 00:07:37:32
Unknown
My mindset is different, and I want to get that across to you, that your mindset should be different as well. I mean, we’ve been facing this FOMO based marketing fear of missing out thing for a long time. This this a value in this thing. Let’s show people exactly why they should be purchasing from you, why they should, why you should be in their life and they should be in your life, business or personal or whatever.
00:07:37:32 – 00:07:58:20
Unknown
So that’s what I’m going for from now on. Now knowing that if you want to join the UN Marketing Academy, I would love to have you in there because there’s some new things that are coming out. Told you, I’ve been working on that thing with Claude and I working together. It is almost done. Plus I have been working on some more.
00:07:58:25 – 00:08:03:29
Unknown
Not I don’t want to say content, but workbooks, webinars,
00:08:03:29 – 00:08:25:04
Unknown
quarterly training sessions, regular training sessions that you need like Google Analytics mastery. Who doesn’t need to know about Google, Google Analytics or just analytics? In general? Analytics means you’re making data driven decisions, not oh, I think that I might like that. So let’s see if my people like that and I’ll show.
00:08:25:04 – 00:08:28:47
Unknown
I’ll have a perfect example for you. I was on a consultation with a client yesterday,
00:08:28:47 – 00:08:49:45
Unknown
and she said that she realized her main thing that she had been putting out to people her quiz that she had been putting out to people they didn’t care about it, how did she do that? Well, she had to go to another event or meeting or workshop or something that she was doing, and she had to come up with, some questions to engage people.
00:08:49:48 – 00:09:13:00
Unknown
Right. And the questions that she came up with led her to create two different, two new quizzes. And so when she was in the meeting or whatever, she asked the people, like, which of these quizzes really resonates with you? Like, which is going to which do you think is going to give you the answers that you need? And they picked everything but the one she had been advertising on her site.
00:09:13:12 – 00:09:32:15
Unknown
That’s what I’m talking about, data based decisions. So now she’s not going to stop that quiz because people obviously they used it before and stuff and they may and they will use it again in the future because that’s what she teaches all. But she also knows that they want to know some other things. And I think that’s what we all need to do.
00:09:32:15 – 00:09:50:40
Unknown
What is our value? What are we putting out there? It’s not FOMO fear of missing out, it’s value. You you want to work with some someone who values you, who values your time, who values your money, who values what you want to know, and how they can give it to you. So that’s that’s what we’re doing going forward.
00:09:50:40 – 00:09:53:37
Unknown
So if you want to join the UN Marketing Academy,
00:09:53:37 – 00:10:00:24
Unknown
I welcome you. And I know you’re not going to regret it. All you have to do is go to UN market your

business.com/join. Look at the testimonials. Look at what you get. Look at the results. Look at the part in there that talks about a day in the life of a academy member and how you can utilize the academy to get the things that you want.
00:10:17:47 – 00:10:19:33
Unknown
I’ll see you on the other side.
00:10:19:33 – 00:10:21:31
Unknown
It’s take time.
00:10:21:31 – 00:10:47:28
Unknown
Y’all ready? Okay. Going right along with what I was saying before, Google Site Kit is the technology that I’m talking about today. So Google Site Kit helps you sell better because you make data driven decisions. And you heard that a lot today already, right? In your marketing plan, setting up Google Analytics the right way reveals website design issues that need addressing and fixing.
00:10:47:33 – 00:11:15:55
Unknown
You might not even know that something that you’re doing is keeping people away from your site, or pushing them away from your website until you do the analytics. The deep dive, the behind the scenes stuff that people don’t talk about. You need to get that done. A Google site kit helps you to do it. It helps you to hook up to Google Analytics plus it shows you when the people are going to your site, how long they’re saying, what content they’re looking at, and guess what is right there on your site in that dashboard?
00:11:15:55 – 00:11:16:43
Unknown
So you can look at it
00:11:16:43 – 00:11:35:57
Unknown
we use it on all our client sites who do the website security and maintenance plan with us, because it’s just so easy for the client themselves to go into the website to look at what their content is doing or not doing, what the website is going to or not going to, and make data driven decisions.
00:11:36:01 – 00:11:59:09
Unknown
And guess what? I have a Google Analytics mastery coming real soon to a screen near you. And this is going to be I’m going to be doing it a little bit different than we were then. I’ve done it before because some of it is going to be on YouTube. I’ve got some great videos planned, I’m working on them right now and then other.
00:11:59:09 – 00:12:27:52
Unknown
The main piece, the real nitty gritty stuff, is going to be inside the Academy. So if you want to join the academy, go ahead and do that now. But the just let you know. The Google Analytics Mastery program is coming soon, and I will be looking for five purpose driven entrepreneurs who can go through this mastery program with me for a big discount, because this is the first time that I’m actually putting it out there, and I will let you know more about it.
00:12:27:52 – 00:12:46:15
Unknown

Hey, tell me more about Google Analytics Mastery and I will definitely do it. So if you want to be in that test group, you can put a note here wherever you’re listening.
00:12:46:15 – 00:13:01:03

Hey, everyone. How are you? How are you? This is a great day. And not only because I have the awesome, awesome little friend Matt here. I said that right? Right with me. Yeah, I thank goodness because I have this thing with names I won’t stick in my head for some reason to be calling you matter or something like that.
00:15:48:58 – 00:16:16:29
Unknown
And I don’t want to do that. I want call your real name. So everyone, this is a trend. We’re going to come on and talk about branding. Y’all know how I love to talk about branding because I don’t do branding. I get you after the branding. So we’re going to talk about the branding today. But before we do that, literally why don’t you just tell us about yourself, who you serve, all that good stuff while we’re trying to see what’s up.
00:16:16:34 – 00:16:27:03
Unknown
All right. I’ll be happy to. My name is the train, and I serve basically the side hustler. I serve the individual that I was when I got started. So
00:16:27:03 – 00:16:48:27
Unknown
let me rephrase that. I serve anybody that needs help with their visual branding. But my heart and my passion lies with those that are just getting started, because I love to bring visions to life, and I love sitting with people that think there’s no way that what they see in their head and what they envision can ever come to life and be anything more than just a dream.
00:16:48:32 – 00:17:10:13
Unknown
And I take that and I give it lives, and I take it in a way where it’s not just a logo or a color palette, but I give it life practically that they can put it anywhere with anyone. So to get that connection and that engagement that they need to really make their dream soar and their vision and their brand build.
00:17:10:17 – 00:17:32:29
Unknown
All right. Now, I couldn’t ask for anything more. I love that, and I love how you took it back a little bit. Like I work with anybody, but specifically I work with these people. So, you know, anybody every any and everybody needs branding. But yes, physically we have to go with where where God is leading us, where our heart is taking us, who lights our fire because we get the best work out of that.
00:17:32:44 – 00:17:51:11
Unknown
And to anybody who says, well, I don’t want to niche down, I don’t want to just say that I work with certain, but it’s okay, because what happens is the people that are on the outside of that niche will come in and see you and stuff, but you’re just really focused on that one avatar, if you would. That one ideal client.
00:17:51:23 – 00:18:07:25
Unknown
But that one ideal client has other people that look like them, act like them, and I like them, so they’ll bring them in. So don’t worry, you ain’t missing out on none if you just if you just niche down. But try to am so happy to have you here because I love talking about brand. And like I say, I don’t do branding.
00:18:07:30 – 00:18:20:15
Unknown
I get you after you’ve already gone to the brand specialist, the brand ologist or whoever, and then you come to me and then I make it beautiful because a lot of times I know especially visual branding
00:18:20:15 – 00:18:29:48
Unknown
that involves not just a logo, but all the colors, but not just the colors, the meaning behind the colors, the meaning behind your logo.
00:18:29:48 – 00:18:34:05
Unknown
We kind of mix that all up and then we get you. Am I right? Right.
00:18:34:05 – 00:18:47:49
Unknown
That’s a given. Yes, definitely. And she has a knack for this because we were just talking before we went on live. I need to get some, like t shirts and branding and stuff like that. My husband has been asking me for like, forever to do that.
00:18:47:54 – 00:19:09:01
Unknown
And I was going to use Printful, which is a good space to use and stuff. But sometimes you just need, you know, that human touch and you know, we’re going to get this done. So when I have it on, I will let you know, you know, trend did this and we happy with this. Yes yes yes yes. And also I am so honored to be the first podcast that you’re.
00:19:09:07 – 00:19:10:36
Unknown
Oh no.
00:19:10:36 – 00:19:25:04
Unknown
Let’s just get that congratulations out of the way because people understand how podcasting can help your business, helped your life, help everything. Because we all have inquiring minds and we want to know what’s going on. And that right, I do
00:19:25:04 – 00:19:32:46
Unknown
know let’s let’s jump into this. The first question that I ask everybody is, how do you get traffic to your website?
00:19:32:46 – 00:19:35:06
Unknown
Because inquiring minds want to know.
00:19:35:06 – 00:19:55:18
Unknown
I get traffic to my website primarily by referrals, so I’m not an out there social person. Just please come hire me. Please go hire me because I’m very specific in who I work with, and then I don’t use templates or anything of that nature. So it’s not like an assembly line. When people come to me, I have that consultation, I have a conversation with you.
00:19:55:18 – 00:20:19:51
Unknown
I ask you to tell me a little bit about yourself, about your vision, your brand, your business and what it is that you’re trying to accomplish. But most importantly, what I ask people is what is the story that you want to tell? Because that’s what the visuals do. So how I get traffic to my website is literally I’ll work with someone and they’ll be like, oh, this is I got my new website, I got my apparel, my packaging, whatever it is, and I did it for them.
00:20:19:56 – 00:20:41:21
Unknown
And then once they post it and people are like, oh my God, you really leveled up. Who did that? And then that’s how the traffic begins. And the DMs come and the appointments get done. But I not a go to my website to hire me. I’m a if you really want to see what I’m capable of and see if I’m possibly the right fit for you, you’re able to go to my site and look at my portfolio.
00:20:41:26 – 00:20:49:10
Unknown
And if you think that there is something that I possess that would be beneficial to what you’re trying to build, then let’s connect.
00:20:49:10 – 00:21:04:54
Unknown
Awesome. I love that, you know, referrals are great, but I think we discount the power of referrals because not mainly number one or referral. You really don’t have to try to sell. They’re pretty much already sold.
00:21:04:54 – 00:21:18:27
Unknown
When you get to them. You just gotta maintain that standard that they think you have and that they feel that you have. And then you have to showcase this is what I can do for you. And then they’re they’re almost ready on that. On the. Yes. Push that button.
00:21:18:27 – 00:21:23:41

And and so, you know, it’s up to you I think it’s up to you to lose the sale.
00:21:23:41 – 00:21:44:23
Unknown
So that’s that’s a very good way to get, traffic to your website. Now, let’s also say that referrals can be very slow. If you’re just waiting on people to refer to, you can be slow. So what have you done to, I guess, make up for that? Or have you noticed that it’s slow when, when, referral. When relying on referrals.
00:21:44:28 – 00:22:05:23
Unknown
Yeah. That’s, that’s the God’s honest truth is that they are slow. The one thing that works in my favor is that the projects that I take on, which, you know, like for a website builder or something of that nature, it takes time for it to be done. So the referrals are like, okay, that gives me the space I need to truly work on the project and dedicate the time that I need to do that to be sure it’s done.
00:22:05:23 – 00:22:30:14
Unknown
Excellent. But outside of the referrals, I have other streams of income like I have an Academy, aspire Academy, where I take everything that’s in my head and I dumped out into resources and courses so that other people can go DIY, and from there also have Live Creates, which is my store, where everything that I’ll just be laying in my bed and an idea will come to my head about something that look good on a t shirt or mug.
00:22:30:19 – 00:23:07:20
Unknown
So I take my own personal creativity and the things that are close to my heart, and I design those things out of practical products that people go by. So when those referrals aren’t hitting, I have the Academy where resources are being available, and then I also have the store where products are being sold. So while I’m in that design space, in that incubator where I’m bringing a vision to life, I still have other things that are still creative outlets that I use that are just other extensions of me, and it allows so and it allows other people to see that what I do for myself and the pride that I take in what I do
00:23:07:20 – 00:23:28:40
Unknown
a Q and aspire or live creates or any, any avenue where my creativity flows, I can do that for you, right? I love that, I love that answer number one, you’re like, well, if they slow, then I’ll just go to something else or I’ll do this ABCd because we all need to have different streams of income. I’m in, like a web designer group.
00:23:28:40 – 00:23:50:59
Unknown
I talk about it all the time, and there are plenty of web designers in there. You know, we almost like to say that web designers are a dime a dozen. But there are also forward thinking web designers who are doing marketing, like myself, or who are helping people with podcasts, which I do as well, or virtual summits or email marketing.
00:23:50:59 – 00:24:09:02
Unknown
So I have to applaud you for saying that because, yeah, the referrals come in slow sometimes. Sometimes they’re extra fast, sometimes it’s a lot, sometimes it’s a little. But do you have things to fill in the gap, which gives you a complete picture of an entrepreneur who’s on fire, who does different things, and trying to keep it off.
00:24:09:15 – 00:24:12:33
Unknown
Harness off in your brain calls. Hello? I’m like, that is what
00:24:12:33 – 00:24:13:15
Unknown
I know.
00:24:13:15 – 00:24:24:38
Unknown
Sometimes you just can’t stop those things from coming in here. Like, wait a minute. God, give me time. Let me get out of the shower. Go get a pen and write this down or something, because it just hits you and you gotta do something with it.
00:24:24:38 – 00:24:46:30
Unknown
Or it’s kind of, like, muddled for me. It’ll just be gone if I don’t do anything right, I love that, I love that that is a great answer. And everybody out there listening right now, you need to take heed. You don’t have to be doing any one thing all the time, forever. Really? You need what? One of my mentor, Stephanie.
00:24:46:41 – 00:25:07:45
Unknown
Stephanie Perry, who started my whole journey talking about moving abroad and all that. She was like, let me help you get your business to rivers of income. Not just different streams, but rivers of income. And I think you’re doing that trend. So I have this one main powerful question for you that I, that I think all people are thinking about right now.
00:25:07:50 – 00:25:33:00
Unknown
And it’s like, what are the most common mistakes entrepreneurs make when it comes to visual branding? And explain to us a little bit about visual branding and just plain branding and branding like we think about it was, what’s the difference in all of that? Okay, so there are different types of branding, and that’s the one thing that I find hilarious all the time is when people are like, oh, I am great at branding.
00:25:33:00 – 00:26:01:31
Unknown
And I ask myself, okay, which form of branding are we talking about? Because I tell people all the time, I am very fluent in branding, but I specialize in visual branding. Right? There is personal branding, there is corporate branding, there is retail branding. There are so many different levels. So when we’re talking about branding, branding is literally taking who you are and giving it its own identity.
00:26:01:36 – 00:26:10:07
Unknown
So, for example, if I’m talking about personal branding, I’m talking about me. So when I brand lettering films,
00:26:10:07 – 00:26:25:13
Unknown
it’s like, okay, well, what do I want people to know about lettering? What are my values? What are my my colors? And if I choose these colors, what do they represent about me? The images and the style of images that I pose?
00:26:25:26 – 00:26:51:43
Unknown
How do they play into who I am personally? Right. And that’s the same thing with corporate branding. When you look at companies like Coca-Cola and Apple, you can look at their styles and say, you know what? Apple is very it’s a minimalist brand. It’s very simple. And everything about that, from Steve Jobs and his black turtlenecks and his jeans, always played into what Apple was.
00:26:51:48 – 00:27:07:18
Unknown
Right. What are you looking at? You know, retail branding. What a lot of people don’t know that that exists. What is that? That’s the packaging. That’s what people meet when they see you on a shelf. Yeah, yeah. And there’s so much of it. And people go, oh, well, I have a brand, I have my logo.
00:27:07:18 – 00:27:10:16
Unknown
Yeah. You know, that’s not enough.
00:27:10:16 – 00:27:44:41
Unknown
That’s not enough. I’m sorry. Your logo is great. That’s your signature for your business or your brand. But there’s more to the story. And branding tells that story. And because we live in a visual age, what I do is I take all of those brands, one of those brands, and I tell a story visually so that when someone sees a picture of you or they see an ad about you, a social media image, they can see you in a way that they can immediately connect with and engage in and feel something emotionally to connect with.
00:27:44:46 – 00:27:53:48
Unknown
Right. And because I can get that connection, I want to know more about you, which leads to the engagement which will possibly lead to the sale or the booking or the consultation.
00:27:53:48 – 00:28:07:08
Unknown
Awesome. I love that how you broke it down. There are different types of branding because really I never thought about it being different, but it is. Corporate branding is different from, you know, if you are a dog walker, right?
00:28:07:14 – 00:28:34:16
Unknown
You’re not a corporation. Even if you are signed up as a corporation, you’re probably in. You start out as like a one person type of thing. So you need personal branding. And I love how you say that. It tells your story. You make the colors, the visuals, the everything. Tell your story because that’s that’s all we have is what we see when people come to us or find out about us or stumble across us a lot.
00:28:34:21 – 00:28:50:42
Unknown
It’s got to be that visual that stops the scroll, don’t you think? Yes, definitely, I love that, I love that. So then my other question is how can a strong visual identity directly impact a business’s success and growth?
00:28:50:42 – 00:28:54:55
Unknown
It directly impacts it. I mean, if you just look around at your everyday life and the one
00:28:54:55 – 00:29:06:02
Unknown
example that I give to my customers and they’re like, well, it’s really not that big, I got my logo, okay, your logo is great, but am I going to see your logo clearly and understand what who you are and what you represent and what you’re trying to sell?
00:29:06:02 – 00:29:24:56
Unknown
If I just see a logo on a billboard, right? I’m driving down the street and I see this sign, it’s going to be something visually about that sign that makes me stop and look and read, right. If you go to the mall, the biggest examples, if you go to the mall, I tell people all the time, I have three kids.
00:29:24:56 – 00:29:44:27
Unknown
I don’t like the mall because they think they have a job and they got money. So yeah, when you go to the mall, especially if you have kids, you have it in your mind, I’m going in this store, I’m buying this pair of shoes and we’re going home. My exit is to the right, but I could come out of the store and glance around and to be aware of my surroundings.
00:29:44:27 – 00:30:11:29
Unknown
And to the left, there’s a sign in a window that literally just instantaneously boom. And you’re curious, what is that about? Why there’s a picture there that makes you curious. So although my attitude is to go to the right, my curiosity is going to make me go to the left. So now when I go to the left and I go visit that store, I’m going to engage with the touchpoint that drew my attention.
00:30:11:29 – 00:30:29:54
Unknown
It’s going to have visual advertising, right. And when I get there, I’m going to go from, you know, the picture that caught my eye and now I’m going to read all the taxes there, and then I’ll make a decision. Do I want to go in and explore further? And most cases I will, because now I’ve been enticed by the poster.
00:30:29:56 – 00:30:31:49
Unknown
Not I want to touch and feel the product.
00:30:31:49 – 00:30:41:22
Unknown
Yeah. And once I touch and feel it, I’m making some form of connection with it that I’m probably, in most cases going to buy it whether I need it or not.
00:30:41:22 – 00:30:47:33
Unknown
And that power of visual brain, if you think about it, people spend all this money on Super Bowl ads.
00:30:47:33 – 00:30:58:17
Unknown
What are they? The visual branding, right? I’m telling a story about my product and what I have to offer in a way that connects with your senses.
00:30:58:17 – 00:31:06:54
Unknown
Then from there, I know if I can captivate you enough, I can pretty much get you to move in the direction of a sale.
00:31:06:54 – 00:31:18:48
Unknown
So I like that, I like that I never really thought, I mean you’re making me think here they are real because I think that Brandon is subconscious or hits you at the subconscious.
00:31:18:49 – 00:31:51:55
Unknown
It’s not the conscious. Like, okay, I’m looking around, I’m looking for some shoes. Let me just go in this place. A lot of times, even when we’re online and we’re looking for stuff, something else will grab us and we’ll go to that. And subconsciously we don’t even know that we’re doing it. But it hits us somewhere that we need to find out more about that thing, or we need to see exactly what this is, because when we get to it, if it’s attracting us, we’re either going to go the next step to get it or when we get to it like, no, that’s not really it.
00:31:51:55 – 00:32:19:01
Unknown
That’s I really want to want and then we’re going to go away. But at least it got the attention and that’s that’s all we’re in for, especially online or offline. Anytime we’re talking or whatever, we want the attention, if we can get the attention and if we get the attention of the right people who are looking for whatever we at or a need of whatever we have, I think we can grab them and solidify that transaction and they’re going to buy, right?
00:32:19:06 – 00:32:36:18
Unknown
You’re right. And that’s what people don’t understand. And people think, oh, branding is just for business. And it’s not. It’s about everything that you do. We brand when we date. Think about it. When you know you’re going on a first date or you’re going out to, you know, scope the scene to find out what’s out there in the streets.
00:32:36:22 – 00:33:13:11
Unknown
You spend time, be sure your hair is done, your makeup is done. You have the right outfit that you’re putting on, a visual appearance to attract the type of man or woman that you feel you deserve, or you need. So you just brand yourself because when they see you, they don’t know you may be cooking and cooking. Yeah, I know that because what they see has attracted them to you is after they take hold or possession of the product, that they realize, yes, you left you where you were, that you, your visual presence.
00:33:13:15 – 00:33:33:47
Unknown
Had them go from that table to that bar to buy you a drink and start up a conversation. Right, exactly, exactly. You’re so right. We’re branding ourselves whether we think we are or not. We are. So people are going to think about us somewhere, whatever kind of way, when they first see us, or something’s going to attract them.
00:33:33:47 – 00:33:57:16
Unknown
And that’s what kind of we’re looking for, you know, like we’re dating these potential clients and we’re trying to I shouldn’t say dating. I should say what was the other thing when you had to go to the courting, were courting. These particular clients are these ideal clients. But we also have to know what it is that they want and what it is that we want and what we want to provide.
00:33:57:16 – 00:34:24:45
Unknown
Which is why I love how you said your heart is for these, these, certain people because we can put ourselves out there. And if it’s a, if it’s a generic brand, a generic thing, then anybody could come in. But we don’t want this. Anybody. We want special somebodies. Right? Right. We want those special somebody who light up our life and who make us feel like, oh my God, I can’t even wait to get this project finished.
00:34:24:50 – 00:34:40:45
Unknown
Yeah, and that’s what everyone needs to understand. It’s just like, it’s great. We talked about you talk about Niching down. It’s like, oh my God, what if I reach down to just this? Then I’m not going to get them. But you have to understand them is not your niche because the people that are assigned to you will be drawn to you regardless.
00:34:40:50 – 00:34:49:33
Unknown
And that is what it’s all about. You don’t want to be for everybody because you’re not for everybody. And all money is not good money. But that’s
00:34:49:33 – 00:35:12:00
Unknown
if you’re in it for purpose and you understand why you started this business, why you created this course, why you opened this nonprofit. If you stay with your passion and you tell that story through your branding, through your colors, through the fonts that you use, the pictures that you post, the people that are for you will come to you.
00:35:12:05 – 00:35:22:19
Unknown
And that’s what it all boils down to. Being authentic to who you are and letting everything about you tell that version of you.
00:35:22:19 – 00:35:24:06
Unknown
Hey, I’d say amen to that.
00:35:24:06 – 00:35:42:33
Unknown
Amen. I always say be who you are because everybody else has taken it. It doesn’t matter if you have a funny crack in your voice or if you got a weird laugh, or even if you have a funny way that, you know, people say, oh, you look funny or whatever, you know, embrace that whole thing.
00:35:42:38 – 00:35:49:48
Unknown
I was editing a, podcast, I think it was a podcast the other day, and the person that was,
00:35:49:48 – 00:36:01:03
Unknown
in there for one of my clients and the person that was in there, she had a gap in her teeth. Right. And a lot of people say, oh my God. Yeah. And a lot of people are, oh my gosh, I would get rid of that gap in a minute when my granddaughter has a gap.
00:36:01:03 – 00:36:10:23
Unknown
And I think she did want to, you know, closing the gap and getting rid of it. But I’m like, her dad has it too. And that’s why you getting rid of it. Some people,
00:36:10:23 – 00:36:19:20
Unknown
love it. They get into it and they were like, I don’t care if my teeth are five inches apart. I’m going to keep it like that, because that’s how God made me.
00:36:19:20 – 00:36:42:41
Unknown
And then other people like, oh, I don’t, I don’t want to do that. But you got to be who you are. Sometimes you can’t get rid of certain things. You have to embrace it and make it work for you. Like right now, you know, in the in the States, probably in the world, there are so many things going on that are making us ticked off and feeling insecure and feeling unsure, and all of that doesn’t matter.
00:36:42:46 – 00:37:04:48
Unknown
We’re God’s people. We’re going to make it through no matter what we’re going to make it through. And if we look at the time now, it’s not really any different from other times that have been craziness going on. But we got to take hold right now, make ourselves stand out so that our people who are looking for us can find us higher in us, and they can have a better life.
00:37:04:53 – 00:37:26:39
Unknown
What do you think about that? I believe that 1,000% in the news program that I just, launched or I will be launching this week is called Beyond the Hustle. And this the post that I made this morning on my personal socials and then on the Q page and also the blogs that I came this that was the essence of everything about me today.
00:37:26:48 – 00:37:39:42
Unknown
And and it was all about hiding because I’ve always had to get active. I was in a car accident which damaged my nerves. So my eye is lazy. Over to the side and I’m stuck here. Then most. So
00:37:39:42 – 00:37:44:44
Unknown
I always let these things keep me behind
00:37:44:44 – 00:37:51:37
Unknown
the screen. Now, I remember when I first met you, you were just like, I saw your stuff, but I don’t see you.
00:37:51:42 – 00:38:04:00
Unknown
You need to come out more. And I told you I was like, you know what? You’re right. Your word was confirmation. And that day I went and I started putting my face on
00:38:04:00 – 00:38:12:14
Unknown
all my all my pages because I never did that. And so today I talked about that in my blog. I’m like, listen, we’re living in a time of uncertainty.
00:38:12:14 – 00:38:39:54
Unknown
We’re living in a time where we don’t know up, down what’s going to change today or tomorrow. But the one thing that remains the same is you embracing who you are, what you look like, every floor and every insecurity that you have, even embracing the doubts because all of those things make you who you are. And if you’re stepping into a space where, you know, despite what’s happening out there, there’s something in here in me that’s greater that I need to bring forth and share with the world.
00:38:39:59 – 00:38:59:18
Unknown
Then guess what? That’s all that matters. And like you said, as a as God’s child, he knew all of the craziness that was you. Yeah. What chose you to do this during this time? So easy. You’re going to allow all of those external things to keep you
00:38:59:18 – 00:39:03:24
Unknown
hidden, like me was. Are you going to say, you know what?
00:39:03:29 – 00:39:09:24
Unknown
This is me. If you don’t like my I guess what? There is somebody else over there that does
00:39:09:24 – 00:39:21:44
Unknown
that. You do what you possibly want done. But yeah, I know what I bring to the table, and I’ve been hiding that because of all of this. But it’s all of this
00:39:21:44 – 00:39:24:59
Unknown
that makes you do that. Yeah. Yeah.
00:39:24:59 – 00:39:26:41
Unknown
I’m so glad you like.
00:39:26:41 – 00:39:50:17
Unknown
I’m not saying that I’m the best visual brander, because I’m not. I just know I got a source that works for me and my people, and exactly. That’s. And that’s all you need. And I remember when I first because you you came through a referral from another client, but she wasn’t trying to refer you. She was just showing me, hey, I got a brand audit done on the side.
00:39:50:17 – 00:40:05:45
Unknown
I wanted you to look at it and see what you thought about it. And immediately I was like, oh, yeah, this girl was talking about. I love how she was taking it. This direction, or how she’s talking about doing this or that, you know, there. But I don’t know what they’re talking about. They’re like, yeah, I can do an audit.
00:40:05:50 – 00:40:32:25
Unknown
And I’ll be like, no, I ain’t doing that. But it was something about the way you lay out the stuff. It was straightforward, it was simple, and it was, very like entertaining to, to my eyes. So I’m like, immediately I’m going to look for your website, trying to find out where you are and see your website. I go up there, I get your, the brochure that you gave her with the audit in it and stuff, and I looked at the front page and I’m like, wow, okay.
00:40:32:25 – 00:40:38:17
Unknown
And then I get to your site and I don’t see you in or I don’t see any pictures of you. And then I was like,
00:40:38:17 – 00:40:46:22
Unknown
Because I didn’t know that that person that you had that image on the front was not you. I thought it was you. And so I’m not talking to you. I was like, we need to meet.
00:40:46:22 – 00:41:04:29
Unknown
We got on. Then we get on the, aloe meeting thing, a virtual coffee, and then there you are and all your awesomeness. And I’m like, why aren’t you showcasing that? Why aren’t you on the front? We need to see what you look like. It don’t even matter. Because I got to tell you something. Today, was telling my husband, you know, how should I wear my hair?
00:41:04:29 – 00:41:23:08
Unknown
Should I wear it up or down or whatever? But, you know, I need to actually, do my roots because you can see the red on the sides and this black here, which I love. But this needs to get colored again. And I was telling him all these things, and he was like, I think you’re beautiful. Like, you know, what’s the beautiful lady talking about?
00:41:23:19 – 00:41:44:17
Unknown
You don’t even like the stuff that that I need is perfect, right? He didn’t even notice. So a lot of times with us, people don’t notice who we are, who we aren’t. They’re just looking for. Can you help me? You know, they’re not even caring about if you got a gap in your teeth, if you don’t got a gap, if your eyes off to the side, if it’s not, you know, if you’re heavier or if you’re slimmer.
00:41:44:17 – 00:42:10:31
Unknown
They don’t even care about this stuff. They just want to know, can you bring me the results that I want? And if you can, let’s do it. You know, and I think, I think that message needs to be out there more to people, especially now, especially when it just being of a nother color or another culture or another, or something else other than what the mainstream is.
00:42:10:40 – 00:42:26:55
Unknown
We’re thinking like, wow, I don’t even count. Nobody cares about me. And that is so not true. That is not that. And that’s the that’s one of the messages. No, that’s the message of Beyond the Hustle. It’s like we’re always so you need to hustle and grind, hustle and grind and you do. You have to work being you have to work.
00:42:26:55 – 00:42:49:59
Unknown
You know, work being your mom. You are going to work. There are a lot of luxuries with a 9 to 5. But the greatest luxury of being your own boss is the freedom and the flexible. Amen that you are going to understand that there are going to be nights where you’re going to want to Netflix and chill. Harmon, Hallmark and Bonbon, and you have to be like, you know what?
00:42:49:59 – 00:43:05:49
Unknown
That’s all good, but you need to come back over here and do this work right at the end of the day, the freedom that comes with that is you can look at the news and be like, I’m a king’s kid. That don’t matter to me. I’m going to be aware of it, but I’m not going to allow it to impact my walk.
00:43:05:53 – 00:43:34:06
Unknown
And that’s what it’s about. Like with all this Dei stuff. And I said, my, my thing for 2025 is of course thrive in 25. But don’t complain, create. So everybody’s talking about this and I’m like, you know what? There has to be more to this story because that’s what I’m about. How can I flip the script? Right. So I did a whole collection redefining Dei and my flagship shirt says is dominate every industry.
00:43:34:11 – 00:43:57:35
Unknown
Oh yes. Yeah. You’re talking about where you can’t be because of your skin color and all of these things. How about you say thank you for allowing me to sit at your table, and thank you for the experience that I received at your table. Right. But due to the change in the climate, I’m picking up a hammer now to build my own table.
00:43:57:35 – 00:44:32:29
Unknown
Oh my gosh, I have in me. I’m going to keep working and building this table so that by the time it’s build and I’ve got the tablecloth on the flowers and everything like that, I’m dominating my sector of that marketplace. Yes. And that’s why I have a lot of friends at a brand, that brand. And they do a lot of stuff, and they tell me all the time, you’re not charging enough and you’re wasting a lot of time because you just get this software and that software, and I let them know I am going to stay true to who I am.
00:44:32:34 – 00:44:55:27
Unknown
I listen to my clients and I take their words and I turn them into pictures. Yeah, and there are just some things a software I cannot do. I don’t want to be on Fiverr over here. I’m not knocking any of that. But I’m staying true to what I do and how I do it. And in this age of everything is brought it up, you know, business as well.
00:44:55:27 – 00:45:19:38
Unknown
And like you said, we’ve been here before and we were here before. What did we do? Especially in our communities? We prayed and we worked right, and we did it our way through it. So now all we have to do now is pray, work, and not just find your way through it, but find your lane, stay in it.
00:45:19:38 – 00:45:35:14
Unknown
And as you start, you know, getting over obstacles and move it. That’s not the way. Bring somebody else with you. And that’s what I’m doing with my programs. My brand, Beyond the Hustle is I’ve been doing this for over 20 years now. I have failed
00:45:35:14 – 00:45:41:48
Unknown
with some of the best on that. But in those I’ve learned and this is an easy road.
00:45:41:53 – 00:46:00:42
Unknown
So instead of me gatekeeping and being like, well, you know, if you pay me $3,600, I’ll tell, you know, how about if I tell you you want to go use Fiverr? Here’s a resource to help you determine you have the best freelancer. How about I tell you what? I know what I’ve learned along the way, because this is not a time to be that crab in the bucket.
00:46:00:42 – 00:46:21:38
Unknown
This is a time where you go kick the bucket over. And show the crabs the way to the water. Amen. I mean I’m serious. I’m inspired by that because I believe that I live that and I was just thinking about your, prey work and excel. How about that. You work and excel because we gotta pray. We definitely gotta work.
00:46:21:45 – 00:46:44:46
Unknown
And it doesn’t matter if you’re an entrepreneur or an employee, you still gotta work. But nowadays, that employee stuff is, Because somebody I read the other day, she was like, these jobs ain’t loyal. Whoever said they were, they never said they’re right. And if we think about it, if we just backtrack a little, go go back to the 30s through the 50s, how much crazier it was then when we had no rights.
00:46:44:51 – 00:47:02:55
Unknown
That I’m talking to specifically about the black community, but we can put all the other communities in there do. We had no rights. We couldn’t do anything. You know, we passed people on the street and you had to give, you know, almost the whole Hitler sign just to let them know. Yes, yes, you are the one. Now, we ain’t playing that game.
00:47:02:57 – 00:47:24:56
Unknown
That game is. Oh no. A and if the thing gets too bad, pretty sure that a lot of people will be doing the exodus because we are in search of freedom. Because freedom is the new flex. Definitely. Right. Don’t get me started. Don’t get me started here. I’m saying, oh my God. Well, I got, you know, and I’m like, here’s the thing.
00:47:24:56 – 00:47:48:35
Unknown
I before I became a full time entrepreneur, I worked for some amazing companies. I work for T-Mobile, I work for Mastercard. I’ve always worked for really high fortune companies as a trainer. So I was in a lot of meetings. Normal people wouldn’t be. And because I had to be sure that I was in the know to know what I needed to do to get their classes done there, people on the side.
00:47:48:40 – 00:47:53:37
Unknown
But at the end of the day, when people come complaining about their pay was like, you signed up for this?
00:47:53:37 – 00:48:03:59
Unknown
I always thought that too. Why do you get in a job? And then you complaining about how much you get paid when you accepted how much you got paid. So, you know, that means that you don’t need to be in a job.
00:48:03:59 – 00:48:20:40
Unknown
You even need to be in another job, or you need to be an entrepreneur where you control your own economy and you can make those changes anytime you want. You know, we can stay here. We could talk about this is really easily a whole other episode. Maybe I’ll get a panel together to talk about that. That’s that’s one thing.
00:48:20:45 – 00:48:40:13
Unknown
Yes. Yes, I listen to this, but I know I’m not going to keep you here all day because this has been wonderful and amazing. But before we get to some other stuff, I know you have a challenge for the people. So tell us about that challenge. Okay, so the challenge that I have, I’ve actually tweaked it a little bit with some rebranding I’ve been doing over the past few weeks.
00:48:40:13 – 00:48:57:25
Unknown
So the challenge that I have is for your audience, because I love what you do when you talk about on marketing. And I think the biggest thing about, marketing is stop following a trend. Just because they do it that way doesn’t mean you have to do it that way. And if you do it that way doesn’t mean going to work for you, period.
00:48:57:30 – 00:49:24:32
Unknown
There’s no guarantee. So my challenge is find whatever it is that you’re doing and take the piece out where you can truly just tell your story, because that’s what people connect with. Don’t be so busy in the hustle and bustle of culture that you lose yourself in the process. So like for me, my challenge was I took an element of my brand, which was the butterfly.
00:49:24:37 – 00:49:44:32
Unknown
Every every logo that I have, except for my nonprofit has the butterfly in it. And one day my daughter asked me, she’s like, mommy, you just keep using her butterfly. Different butterflies, but the butterfly. And she said, why do you do that? And I said, because it’s about transformation, right? And I empower people through creativity. I’m a creative person.
00:49:44:32 – 00:50:07:39
Unknown
I’ve always been that way. I’ve always wanted to make stuff pretty. I didn’t know it was branding, visual branding. It was just me. Yeah. So now the butterfly symbolizes transformation. So now with that going back and telling the story of what she was about, what the trend is about, we’re about taking you from that cocoon stage that locked up hating.
00:50:07:44 – 00:50:31:20
Unknown
I can’t do it, you know, crawling on the ground and helping you transform to the level where you are free to soar and you’re doing it on your own terms, in your own way, telling your own story. So that’s the challenge is to go back into your brands, into your business, into who you are, and ask yourself, where am I in all of this?
00:50:31:20 – 00:50:58:02
Unknown
Because in the hustle and bustle, the hustle and grind, we get lost. And then we wonder why people aren’t connecting with us. Why aren’t we stopping the scroll? Why aren’t we? And we have all of these questions. It’s always going to go back to where are you in the process? Are you more about selling a product or service, or are you about connecting with someone and telling a story of how you got here, and how what you have to offer and who you are can help them?
00:50:58:07 – 00:51:01:44
Unknown
So I love that. And look, you know, I think time to time,
00:51:01:44 – 00:51:22:20
Unknown
like regularly, we need to look at what we have, what we’re putting out and see how it see, number one, if it needs to change or adjust or and how it needs to change and adjust. I don’t believe in change for just changing sake. I believe in change because maybe we left out something that we need to put in.
00:51:22:20 – 00:51:40:43
Unknown
Maybe we have too much in there. We need to take something out. Or maybe it’s not clear. Clarity is everything. And once you get your visual brand in. Right, so that clearly when people see it, you have to think about what do you want people to think, do or feel when they look at whatever you’re putting out there?
00:51:40:54 – 00:52:03:28
Unknown
If it’s a logo, if it’s what you’re wearing, or if it’s, a lead magnet, it doesn’t matter. What do you want them to think, do, or feel when they see it? So what kind of action will they be taken? I love that. So everybody out there get on this challenge, look at yourself, reevaluate, maybe reinvent if you need to.
00:52:03:28 – 00:52:24:35
Unknown
There’s nothing wrong with that. I was saying on the I think, the last podcast, I think, or the pocket couple of podcasts before that. This is the season of pivoting. I had, the other day, Lisa, who came on and talked about pivoting, how she’s pivoting to a new business coming from a service provider position, and now she’s going into a coaching position.
00:52:24:35 – 00:52:44:54
Unknown
So just like you, she can help others, too. Two of my clients and two of my clients colleagues, friends are doing the same thing. They’re leaving the business that they’re in to go to something else that is more fulfilling. So if you all have to make that, if you’re thinking, oh, I might need to change and do something else, and it’s scary, it don’t matter.
00:52:44:59 – 00:53:10:11
Unknown
Just do it. But brand it effectively so that when people see it, they know what you’re talking about. They know who you are and they’re looking for that. Yes. You know, we always say it’s more than a logo, but a logo is very important because when people see that logo, they know it’s you. When people see that logo in with the other colors or the the butterfly or whatever it is you use, they know it’s you.
00:53:10:11 – 00:53:29:23
Unknown
And that’s what we need. That’s how you stand out, right? Yeah, that’s how you send out and that’s what it’s all about. And people laugh and they’re just like, well, it’s not that series. No, it really is that serious. It is, it is. You’re literally in a sea of competition there. If you are a hairstylist in Atlanta, let’s be real.
00:53:29:28 – 00:53:30:35
Unknown
Yeah. That’s
00:53:30:35 – 00:53:54:20
Unknown
not right. What makes me want to come to you to get my hair done outside of that person over there, there. Your prices are higher. There. This. And she’s there. And here’s what makes me stop and decide. You are the one. And that’s what we have to emphasize, that your USP, your unique selling point in a sea of competition.
00:53:54:32 – 00:54:19:59
Unknown
This is how I rise above. There are hundreds of thousands and millions of brands out there. My unique selling point is I focus on authenticity. I’m hearing it. That means it. Your logo you’re on. It may be basic to some, but it may be intricate to some. It may be whatever it is to them. But to you, you can look at your logo every day and say, that’s me.
00:54:20:04 – 00:54:39:18
Unknown
Exactly, exactly. That’s love now. Yeah, it is what it’s all about. Because in the end, nothing else matters but you, your branding and the people that you bring to you. Because we don’t have time to worry about Sally Jane, and we’re Anna and all of this just worry about you. And I think God will take care of the rest.
00:54:39:18 – 00:54:58:30
Unknown
Because if you lean on him, if you pray, if you work, you will excel. I know that, I know that I write letters, and I know I want to let you get out of here. But first, before you do that, I would like for you to tell us how people can find you on the worldwide internet out there, and what the gift is that you have for us.
00:54:58:35 – 00:55:25:15
Unknown
Okay, so you can find me on the worldwide internet at La Trend fleece.com and it’s crazy name. I know I need to work on that domain because people spell latrine, but it’s letter R I in fleece FL I c e.com. And the gift that I have for you is it’s an extension of my new Beyond the Hustle program.
00:55:25:15 – 00:55:59:17
Unknown

00:55:59:17 – 00:56:21:02

catch from the way culture does it and you just truly market who you are, you see a big difference in the way that your business flows and the way that your brand grows. Oh, all right, I know when you say that your business flows and grows, I love it. The trend is has been totally awesome. Thank you for joining me.

All right. Client spotlight, where today
00:58:31:26 – 00:58:33:17
Unknown
is Carol Ross,
00:58:33:17 – 00:58:34:45
Unknown
my sister, of course,
00:58:34:45 – 00:58:36:37
Unknown
because of both Carol’s.
00:58:36:41 – 00:58:58:48
Unknown
Her website is purple.com. She is a professional harpist. She does things like she plays a harp for weddings and other gatherings and celebrations. And we first met in 2016. She was a referral from the coach that I was working with at that time, and she actually did two websites for one for her probable site and the other one for her.
00:58:58:48 – 00:59:21:01
Unknown
I think it was editing. She doesn’t use editing as much now, but the horrible thing is awesome. It is a one page website, so all her information is on one page. She has samples of the things that she’s done. She has, all about her, and she has a beautiful canvas on there. So go check her out. A horrible.com and congratulations, Carol.
00:59:21:01 – 00:59:31:49

All you need to do is be awesome by either being a client or by letting me know you use, did or follow the advice you heard here on a previous episode posted on social. And be sure to tag me at CSR Corporation and use the hashtag that’s on marketing strategy.
00:59:53:17 – 00:59:58:07
Unknown
So let’s look at that challenge that later and post it to us.
00:59:58:12 – 01:00:16:54
Unknown
Present it to us. And that is to take 30 minutes to audit your visual brand and look at the stuff that you’ve got out there. There’s some things you can lay your hands out real quick, or you grew up on Facebook or Instagram where you post things and see, is it clear at first glance? Is it clear who you are, who you serve and what you’re providing them?
01:00:16:59 – 01:00:39:14
Unknown
And if not, identify where the change is needed and make that change. And be sure that your visual branding is on point and then it gets us that back. So to recap, number one personal branding is telling your story to build relationships with future clients because sometimes it’s not the clients that see the stuff that you put out there.
01:00:39:23 – 01:01:00:43
Unknown
It’s those potential clients who are looking for someone just like you that sees your stuff, and then they are like making a decision like, oh, let me go investigate further. They could become a client. Number two, all money is not good money. If it makes you you someone you’re not, be authentically you. Just because someone wants to pay doesn’t mean you have to, bend your standards.
01:01:00:43 – 01:01:20:20
Unknown
Do stuff you don’t want to or not be you. Just be you because everybody else is taken. And then the final one. And this was so important to the trend. And the reason, one of the reasons why she wasn’t the face of her branding is you need to be seeing flaws and all the trends
01:01:20:20 – 01:01:30:01
Unknown
told me about how she didn’t want to put herself out there, how she didn’t feel like she was good enough or whatever, but she knew her stuff was on board.
01:01:30:01 – 01:01:38:35
Unknown
She knew her stuff was great. And and matter of fact, it is. It is awesome. Go look at our site. It’s listed in the show notes. She’s fantastic. But she felt like
01:01:38:35 – 01:01:40:33
Unknown
for some reason and
01:01:40:33 – 01:01:49:47
Unknown
she just couldn’t show herself. And I was like, Greg, get over there. Who cares? You know, we all want to know what you do, how you do it and stuff, but we don’t really care about what you look like.
01:01:49:52 – 01:02:02:29
Unknown
And then when we see you, we care about what you look like because you’re you and we want to see you. We want to get to know you want to establish a relationship with you. So remember that. Be you, because everyone else is taken.
01:02:02:29 – 01:02:11:33
Unknown
Would you like to get free coaching for me? Simple. All you need to do is go to on marketer business.com/podcast.

It’s time to get this book. And this book is Unbreak Your Broken Heart and also the Purpose Driven Entrepreneur’s Daily Prayer Journal. And
01:02:22:40 – 01:02:28:28
Unknown
why am I bringing both of them up? Because my one client did both of them. She did both books
01:02:28:28 – 01:02:31:39
Unknown
they turned out great. They both went to, best seller,
01:02:31:39 – 01:02:34:16
Unknown
of course, the, Purpose Driven Entrepreneur one.
01:02:34:16 – 01:02:53:22
Unknown
I’ve had this, showcase, this one before, and it went to best seller. It was me and Nano, the artist and then she did her own book, Unbreak a Broken Heart, which in doing The Purpose Driven Entrepreneur, her daily prayer journal, helped her to do that. Break your broken heart, really? To finish it up. So I’ve been working on this book for like five years.
01:02:53:22 – 01:03:09:52
Unknown
She was just couldn’t finish it. I don’t know why. She just couldn’t finish it. And talk about having a heart centered message for your audience and not getting it out there when she came out board with me and did that one book, she was able to get her personal heart centered message out there to our people.
01:03:09:52 – 01:03:11:50
Unknown
So congratulations to you,
